The ministry works through monthly and holiday events at Northshore Messianic Fellowship, a weekly online Bible study, and Shalom Boston 2023, a street outreach program.

History of Jewish Work in Boston
Chosen People Ministries opened a new branch in Boston in 1980 with just one faithful missionary who had a desire to reach the many Jewish people in the greater Boston area.
A few years later, in 1982, Gary Derechinsky was appointed the missionary in charge of the Boston branch. In 1987, the Messianic congregation Beth El Shaddai (“House of God Almighty”) was established in Sharon, a community whose population was 70 percent Jewish. Our missionaries continued in faithful service until 1992, when the branch was reluctantly closed due to missionary health concerns and relocation. However, Beth El Shaddai continued their outreach.
In 2001, the new president of Chosen People Ministries, Mitch Glaser, scheduled a leadership meeting in Boston. The team prayed and walked through Harvard Square, asking the Lord to enable Chosen People Ministries to reopen the work in Boston.
Their prayers were answered! In 2010, the Boston branch reopened with the appointment of Mitch Forman as Vice President of US Ministries and Northeast Regional Director. Along with his wife, Kina, and the Northeast team, Mitch continues today to reach the more than 248,000 Jewish people in the greater Boston area, including the thousands of young adults attending the many local colleges and universities.
